The fall migration count was very successful. 126 species were recorded in both meadows, and about 7,860 individual birds were recorded. Some interesting somewhat rare birds were witnessed, birds that are not often seen in the Wissahickon Valley. This count showed what an imported migratory rest stop these meadows provide for migrating birds.
